We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Director of Analytical Lab and lead our analytical efforts.
Job Summary: The Director of Battery Analytical Lab will oversee all analytical testing and quality control processes within our laboratory using but not limited to XRD, DSC, SEM, EDS, Raman Spectroscopy, ICP-OES, etc. Candidate will correlate battery performance to cell chemistry and structure and provide detailed reporting to management. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our battery products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry, experience in the battery industry, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the analytical lab team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
Develop and implement analytical testing protocols and quality control procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of analytical instruments and equipment.
Analyze and interpret complex data, providing actionable insights to the R&D and cell fabrication teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab efficiency and accuracy.
Prepare and present detailed reports on analytical findings and lab performance.
Manage lab resources and inventory.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an analytical lab, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Deep understanding of battery performance and correlation to cell chemistry and structure.
Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques such as XRD, DSC, SEM, EDS, Raman Spectroscopy, ICP-OES, etc.
Experience in the battery industry is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
