Job Summary:
The Solid Electrolyte Development Lead will be responsible for leading the research and development of solid electrolyte materials for our next-generation solid-state battery products. This role involves developing new solid electrolyte materials and optimizing existing ones to enhance battery performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, particularly in glassy solid electrolytes, and experience in the battery industry. This role will involve managing a team of scientists and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the solid electrolyte development team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
Develop and optimize solid electrolyte materials to improve battery performance, including conductivity and electrochemical stability.
Design and execute experiments to evaluate the properties and performance of solid electrolyte materials.
Synthesis and scaling of solid electrolyte and required precursors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and quality control, to integrate new materials into battery products.
Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Prepare and present detailed technical reports and presentations on research findings.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage lab resources, including equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in solid electrolyte material development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Extensive knowledge of solid-state electrolytes and battery materials.
Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
