Solid-State Battery Cathode Development Lead

We are looking for a talented and experienced Cathode Development Lead to join our team and lead the development of advanced cathode materials.

Job Summary:
The Cathode Development Lead will be responsible for leading the research and development of cathode formulations for our solid-state battery products. This role involves managing a team of scientists and engineers, developing new formulations, and optimizing existing ones to enhance battery performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, particularly in cathode chemistry, and experience in the battery industry.




Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the cathode development team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
  • Develop and optimize cathode formulations to improve battery performance, including energy density, cycle life, failure analysis etc.
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate the properties and performance of cathode materials and formulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and quality control, to integrate new materials/formulations into battery products.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical reports and presentations on research findings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage lab resources, including equipment, and materials.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cathode material development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of cathode chemistry and battery materials.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
